Ben Doak was tipped to be the next big thing to come through at Celtic.
Doak rose through the Celtic academy and made his senior debut as a 16-year-old against Dundee United in January 2022.
He only made two competitive appearances for the Bhoys before moving south of the border to join Liverpool in a deal that saw Celtic receive around £600,000 in compensation.
Since then, the youngster has steadily adapted to life at Anfield and has impressed in loan spells away from the club, as well as representing Scotland at senior level.
However, Arne Slot’s side have an embarrassment of riches in terms of talent, and that he may need to leave for regular first-team football.

Three Premier League teams interested in Ben Doak
According to Lewis Steele of the Daily Mail, three Premier League teams are interested in signing Doak.
During a Q and A session on Liverpool’s transfer plans he revealed that “Everton, Crystal Palace and Bournemouth have kept tabs on him” but wouldn’t be prepared to meet the asking price of £25m and above.
Steele also posited the idea that the winger could be loaned to a Championship or Premier League club and maybe even stay at Anfield.
MORE CELTIC STORIES
Celtic aren’t one of the clubs interested but if Nicolas Kuhn was to leave for RB Leipzig, a loan for Doak could be one to consider.
Why Celtic won’t receive any money from a Ben Doak transfer
Should Liverpool decide to cash in on one of their young talents, Celtic won’t receive a penny of the fee.
The Hoops had a sell-on clause in Jeremie Frimpong’s contract but for Doak, it’s a different story.
As confirmed by Chief Football Correspondent Graeme Bailey, as Doak’s transfer only required Liverpool to pay Celtic a compensation package.
That means that no clause could be inserted into the deal and even if Doak was to go for a large fee, Brendan Rodgers wouldn’t see any extra funds added to the transfer pot.
