Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal are among the clubs in the picture to sign Red Bull Salzburg’s Dorgeles Nene this summer.
The Mali international joined the Austrian club from Guidars FC in 2021 and was on loan at FC Liefering, SV Ried and KVC Westerlo between 2021 and 2023.
He managed five goals and four assists in the 23/24 season, but the forward’s performances improved a lot last season. To put it in context, he scored 15 goals and registered nine assists from 48 games and this has several clubs, including Tottenham and Arsenal, taking notice.
That’s according to Africa Foot, who state Tottenham, Arsenal, Paris Saint-Germain, Bayer Leverkusen, Galatasaray and Club Brugge are all interested in him.
Last September, Red Bull Salzburg rewarded the 22-year-old with a new contract until 2028. He’s currently with the Austrian Bundesliga side at the ongoing Club World Cup.
With Tottenham, Arsenal and other clubs in the mix, Africa Foot contacted the player for an update on his future.
Dorgeles Nene said he’s not surprised multiple clubs are showing interest in him and isn’t ready to rule out a move this summer.
“I’m coming off an interesting season, and that’s bound to attract the interest of other clubs. But for now, I’m staying focused on the competition with my club since I’m still under contract. So, I’m letting my agents take care of my contractual situation, but I’m not closing any doors,” he said.
