**Three Premier League clubs have “kept tabs” on Liverpool youngster Ben Doak, but his future at Anfield remains up in the air this summer, according to a fresh claim.**
The Scot was loaned out to Championship side Middlesbrough last season, enjoying a successful stint there before injury curtailed his campaign midway through it.
Liverpool have a big decision to make with Doak this summer, with the club potentially selling him permanently, should they feel that he won’t make the grade at Anfield in the long term.
Speaking in a Q&A for [_The Daily Mail_](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-14842809/Liverpool-transfer-questions-answered-Ibrahima-Konate-Marc-Guehi-Alexander-Isak.html?ns_mchannel=rss&ns_campaign=1490&ito=social-twitter_dailymailsport) on Tuesday, reliable journalist Lewis Steele provided an update on the 19-year-old, admitting that Everton, Crystal Palace and Bournemouth are all eyeing him up this summer:
_“There are three options for Liverpool now: loan him out to the Championship or bottom-half Premier League again where he will, all being well with fitness, play 35 or so games in a competitive league; sell him to generate funds; have him as sixth-choice forward. Personally, I would loan him out unless a huge bid comes in, with a buyback clause. Everton, Crystal Palace and Bournemouth have kept tabs on him, but neither have been willing to cough up the £25million-plus fee Liverpool are after.”_
Is this summer the right time for Liverpool to sell Doak?

Doak is such an eye-catching young footballer with blistering pace and an unpredictable style on the right wing, being lauded by [Jurgen Klopp](https://www.gazettelive.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/klopps-special-ben-doak-praise-29896785) when he was Liverpool manager:

For that reason, there is a risk in Liverpool selling Doak for good as soon as this summer, should he go on and become a superstar elsewhere, so another loan move could be worthwhile, as Steele alludes to.
If the teenager hasn’t kicked on enough this time next year, it would be the right time to move him on, but if he has found another gear and looks like becoming an elite footballer, the Reds could see him as a future backup option to Mohamed Salah and others.
