Supporter anger at Feyenoord is growing as they feel that Quilindschy Hartman has forced a move to Burnley.
That’s according to 1908.nl, who cover the situation today and the growing discontent among Feyenoord supporters over the transfer.
The left-back previously refused to sign a new contract at the Dutch club and is now due to join Burnley this summer in a potential €12m deal. He’s already travelled to England for a medical at Turf Moor before completing the deal.
Feyenoord fans are not happy about the deal, with 1908 explaining that there is a belief that Hartman is ‘forcing’ a departure. That’s largely because the Dutch club have to sell this summer or lose him on a free next year.
In a poll posted online, 34% believe the departure is logical but 28% of the voters indicated that they are ‘completely done’ with Hartman.
“Be a man, extend your contract and fight for another season at Feyenoord,” one commenter argued about the transfer situation while others have questioned his lack of loyalty and even labelled the defender ungrateful.
Some can see the logic in the move and wish him well, particularly given the 23-year-old has suffered two serious injuries in recent years.
But the general consensus is one of anger and disappointment, with the belief that Hartman has left for Burnley through the back door.
