'Impressed me a lot': Matheus Nunes names the Man City player whose talent is simply 'off the…

Manchester City midfielder Matheus Nunes has raved about one of his teammates, who could make a big impact this season.

Manchester City are currently in the middle of the Club World Cup, and are playing their third group stage match tomorrow against Juventus.

It’s two wins out of two so far, and fans were left salivating after the 6-0 win over Al Ain.

Man City fans lauded Rayan Ait-Nouri’s display, and many now cannot wait for the Juve clash.

One of the scorers in that 6-0 win was Oscar Bobb, a player who is looking to make up for lost time in 2025/26.

Bobb is back playing again after suffering a fractured leg in training just before the start of last season.

There was dismay when Bobb fractured his leg last year.

Bobb had been City’s standout player in pre-season, and looked primed to shine in 2024/25.

But he was robbed of the chance to kick on after starring against Manchester United in the Community Shield, and it has been a gruelling recovery period for the Norwegian starlet.

City documented Bobb’s journey back to fitness, and a number of his teammates appear in the video.

Nunes is one player who gives some words, and it’s clear he feels Bobb is a serious talent.

He said: “When I arrived at Man City, Oscar Bobb was one of the players that impressed me a lot in training. The talent he has is off the charts…”

Oscar Bobb tipped to shine in 2025/26

It was a cruel twist when Bobb suffered his leg fracture injury, with many sure that he was going to take the season by storm.

But the youngster will now have a chance to make up for lost time, although competition is now a lot tougher compared to this same time last year.

But Nedum Onuoha is tipping Bobb to make a bigger impact for Man City than Claudio Echeverri this coming season, saying: “Ooh, I think, I think I’m gonna say Bobb just because he’s a little bit older, a little bit more experienced.

“But it’s interesting because Echeverri was apparently going to be in the process of going on loan again and so on as a young player, but Guardiola has told him that he wants to stick around, wants him to stick around for this period of time.

“So I think he’s got one eye on making sure that he’s part of the attacking lineup going forward.

“But, you know, I think Oscar Bobb has done it before and I think he’ll do it again.”

Echeverri, of course, was spotted on crutches having suffered an injury in training, and the hope is that he won’t suffer a cruel blow like Bobb did last year.
