COLUMBUS, Ohio (WOIO) -Both the Ohio House and Senate are expected to vote this afternoon on a plan to use [Ohio’s Unclaimed Funds](https://unclaimedfunds.ohio.gov/?gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=21057383753&gbraid=0AAAAApKSrFesLN28MiQhHc3ksi5NeYiVS&gclid=CjwKCAjwvO7CBhAqEiwA9q2YJRXfOF_OWP0NMSshltS5IrGfXjKnKXFOjcKEWljOpQWblp55hs5GchoCw9wQAvD_BwE) to help pay for the Cleveland Browns’ transformational Brook Park project.

The Unclaimed Funds plan is a part of the the 2026-27 biennial budget that would then need Ohio Governor Mike DeWine’s signature by June 30th.

There is currently about $3.7 billion sitting in Ohio’s Unclaimed Funds, which is money owed to people from things like dormant bank accounts or insurance payments that were never collected.

Every Ohioan is eligible to look up their name, and family members to see if they are owed funds [on the state’s website](https://unclaimedfunds.ohio.gov/?gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=21057383753&gbraid=0AAAAApKSrFesLN28MiQhHc3ksi5NeYiVS&gclid=CjwKCAjwvO7CBhAqEiwA9q2YJRXfOF_OWP0NMSshltS5IrGfXjKnKXFOjcKEWljOpQWblp55hs5GchoCw9wQAvD_BwE).

The budget is expected to be passed by both the House and the Senate that are controlled by large Republican majorities.

This is the first budget since 2001 that not a single Democrat, in either the House or the Senate, voted to pass the budget before it was sent to Conference Committee.

The budget was passed by the Conference Committee early this morning.
