Victor Osimhen has received a response from several Manchester United players on social media.
Ruben Amorim's squad are in desperate need of a new striker this summer, and Osimhen could be an ideal choice. Last summer, it was reported that his loan deal with Galatasaray from Napoli included a break clause, which would allow him to switch clubs during the January transfer window.
However, no move came to fruition - at that time - and he remained on loan in the Turkish Super Lig, where he continued to find the back of the net. The Nigerian international netted 37 goals and provided eight assists in all competitions for Galatasaray last season.
Osimhen has since returned to his native Nigeria during the summer break, with his most recent post from there 'liked' by United duo Joshua Zirkzee and Andre Onana.
Alongside long-standing interest from Premier League clubs, Champions League finalists Paris Saint-Germain are also said to be in the mix. However, The Athletic report that his salary could be one significant obstacle to United striking up a deal.
There are also doubts about whether he fits the profile that Amorim is seeking for his squad.

Previously speaking on his future, Osimhen said: "A decision will be made at the end of the season - about what will be best for everyone. Galatasaray will forever be in my heart.
"There are always rumours about me, of course, but I prefer to live in the moment.
"I am enjoying myself right now; I am enjoying both the club and my life here. The fans have also been incredibly supportive since the first day."
