‘Rising star’ ready to kick start career after leaving Premier League club
A former Nottingham Forest and Manchester United striker is looking to get back in the goals after joining a new club.North Muskham’s Manni Norkett will be plying his trade across the county border in Lincolnshire after linking up with National League side Boston United.
Manni Norkett is hoping to get back to scoring ways after leaving Nottingham Forest, Image: Boston UnitedThe 20-year-old - who was on the books of Collingham and Newark Town as a youngster - has linked up with Graham Coughlan’s Pilgrims after leaving Premier League Forest this summer following two years at the City Ground.Prior to signing for the Garibaldi Reds, Norkett spent five years at Old Trafford as part of Manchester United’s youth set-up.Norkett netted his first senior goal last season during a five-match loan spell at League Two Cheltenham Town, netting the equaliser in a 2-1 victory over Accrington Stanley.
