Wolves have an important couple of months ahead of them on the transfer front

Wolves turned to Vitor Pereira during last season and he managed to keep them up with ease in the end. The former FC Porto man was picked as their replacement for Gary O’Neil. He has since done an impressive job and has become a popular figure at Molineux.

Wolves should target Ben Chilwell swoop

Wolves have seen Rayan Ait-Nouri head out the exit door for a new challenge at Manchester City. His exit is a blow but has freed up money to bring in other reinforcements. They now have a big vacancy to fill at left-back and will be weighing up their options.

Ben Chilwell has fallen out of favour at Chelsea and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see him leave Stamford Bridge on a permanent basis soon. He is surplus to requirements under Enzo Maresca and needs to be playing regular football. The full-back was given the green light to link up with Crystal Palace on loan this past winter.

Chilwell, 28, went on to play 11 matches for the Eagles in all competitions, eight of which came in the league, and chipped in with one goal. Oliver Glasner’s side won the FA Cup last month after beating City in the final at Wembley. Eberechi Eze was on the scoresheet for them in the first-half.

The defender is an England international with 21 caps under his belt so far in his career. He rose up through Leicester City’s academy and was a regular for them at various different youth levels. He then broke into their first-team after a loan spell away at Huddersfield Town and went on to play 123 matches.

Chelsea lured him down to London in 2020 and he has since featured on 107 occasions for the Blues, finding the net on nine occasions from the back. He has helped them win the Champions League and Super Cup. They have also been runners-up in the FA Cup and Carabao Cup.
