Newcastle United remain interested in Marc Guehi, Anthony Elanga, and Joao Pedro, with journalist Luke Edwards providing a triple update on the Premier League stars.
It's been a quiet start to the summer transfer window for the Magpies who are yet to complete a signing for their senior squad. It doesn't appear to be for the want of trying, with a host of players being linked with moves to St James' Park over the last few weeks. Eddie Howe's side have seen bids rejected, but they'll need to start getting deals over the line.
Newcastle qualified for the Champions League during the 2024/2025 season, and as a result, they will need to add to their squad to be able to compete on all fronts. When the Magpies were involved in Europe's elite club competition a few years ago, they failed to get out of the group stage.
Newcastle Triple Update on Guehi, Elanga, and Joao Pedro
The Magpies are keen on all three
Newcastle United manager Eddie Howe applauding
Reporting on X, The Telegraph reported Edwards has provided a triple Newcastle update for the summer transfer window. The Magpies remain at the table for Elanga after recently seeing a bid rejected, they are still in pursuit of Brighton forward Joao Pedro, and they are also keen on Crystal Palace defender Guehi...
"Newcastle remain at the table - as it were - on Elanga deal. They are still in pursuit of Pedro and remain interested in Guehi. Asking prices - as they have been all summer - are the main issue. But there are other targets who come into play the longer things drag on. With the market expected to start moving next week, I’m anticipating something happening then."

David Ornstein recently reported that Newcastle made a £45m offer to sign Nottingham Forest winger Elanga, with their bid swiftly rejected by The Tricky Trees. Nuno Espirito Santo's side have no interest in selling the Swedish international and decided against providing a counter offer for Newcastle.
Guehi is out of contract next summer, which could mean he is available for a reasonable price in the current market. Joao Pedro might be a difficult deal to do after an impressive spell with Brighton.
