The Premier League is currently crawling with players who emerged from the City Football Academy.
The likes of Cole Palmer, Morgan Rogers, Liam Delap, Romeo Lavia, Tosin Adarabioyo and James Trafford will all face Manchester City in the Premier League next season.
That goes without mentioning the City Football Academy graduates Pep Guardiola has decided to keep around, like Phil Foden, Rico Lewis and Nico O’Reilly.
Another could soon return to the Premier League to face Manchester City in Angelino – with Crystal Palace now working on a deal.

The Eagles – and also Bournemouth – are willing to pay €12m (£10m) for Angelino after his impressive 2024/25 campaign, in which he scored four goals and provided six assists in 51 appearances.
Sunderland are also believed to be keen on signing the 28-year-old, who could be quite frosty towards Guardiola if they do meet again next season.
What happened between Angelino and Pep Guardiola at Manchester City?
Manchester City actually sold Angelino, who Cody Gakpo admires, to PSV Eindhoven in 2018 after sending him on loan spells to New York City, Girona, Mallorca and NAC Breda following his emergence from the City Football Academy in 2015 – but quickly took him back in a £5.3m deal in July 2019.
However, it was not the romantic return to the Etihad Stadium the left-back would have hoped for, wasting away on the bench before leaving again after just half a season, this time for RB Leipzig.
Angelino hated his second stint at Manchester City, accusing Guardiola of destroying his belief during an interview with BILD, saying: “Pep killed me and my confidence.
“After my move from Eindhoven back to City, he had already passed his judgement on me in two preparation games, and didn’t give me a real chance again after that.
“That’s why I was happy to be loaned to Leipzig in the first place, and now I’m a permanent part of the club. One (manager – Julian Nagelsmann) gave me confidence and let me play, the other did not.”
Therefore, if a move back to the Premier League materialises for Angelino this summer, he will surely be determined to prove Guardiola wrong with a strong performance when he meets Manchester City.
