As of now, everything is pointing towards Borussia Dortmund star Jamie Gittens becoming a Chelsea player.
Bayern Munich have Gittens on their radar, but the Blues are in the driving seat to land his signature this summer.
In fact, it has been claimed that Gittens’ expected move to Chelsea could be imminent.
These are exciting times for Gittens, but one Chelsea legend already has a warning for the winger ahead of his likely switch to Stamford Bridge.

Frank Leboeuf warns Jamie Gittens needing time to settle at Chelsea won’t be accepted
Gittens is only 20 years of age so is still a very young player. Enzo Maresca will want to give him time.
However, former Chelsea defender Frank Leboeuf has warned the England Under-21 international that he will not get too much of that.
Unlike at Dortmund, Leboeuf doubts a long settling-in period at Stamford Bridge will be accepted.
Speaking on ESPN FC, he said: “Dortmund is a great club, big club, [but] is still a type of club where you take care of the players. You don’t launch the players like that from nowhere.

“When he’s going to be at Chelsea, it’s going to be a different story. We want to see something immediately! And that’s hard when you’re 20 years old.”
If Gittens does join Chelsea, which is starting to look like an inevitability, the former Manchester City youth player will be hoping to make the kind of instant impact that Liam Delap has made.
Delap already has one goal and one assist in just three games for the Blues, though they came against weak opposition at the Club World Cup.
Delap was set up by Enzo Fernandez in Chelsea’s 3-0 win against Esperance Sportive de Tunis, helping his side to qualify for the knockout round of the competition.

Why Borussia Dortmund are willing to sell Jamie Gittens to Chelsea
While Dortmund have made things difficult for Chelsea in the Blues’ bid to sign Gittens, they have always seemed open to selling their player since the first transfer window of the summer opened.
It has been reported that Dortmund do not see Gittens as a good fit for their side, hence why he is being allowed to join Chelsea. It is not something Maresca will be complaining about, as he needs a new wide man.
