Alejandro Garnacho continues to be linked with a move away from Manchester United, but a fresh transfer update could put the brakes on an Old Trafford exit to one possible destination.

Garnacho has been tipped to leave United this summer with various reports claiming to provide updates on the Argentina international's future. The United winger scored 11 goals and provided 10 assists last term but he's among those expected to leave the club during the current transfer window.

The Manchester Evening News reported in May that United would be open to selling Garnacho this summer, provided they receive a suitable offer. That has led to a host of clubs being linked with signing the 20-year-old, including Napoli.

The reigning Serie A champions have been mentioned as a potential destination for Garnacho, as they look to sign a long-term replacement for Khvicha Kvaratskhelia who joined Paris Saint-Germain back in January.

However, Fabrizio Romano has reported that Napoli are now in talks with PSV Eindhoven over a deal to sign Noa Lang. The report has claimed that the Italian outfit could sign Lang for a fee worth a total of €30million (£25.6million), including an initial fee worth €25million (£21.3million).

If Napoli do go on to sign Lang, it could result in the Serie A outfit no longer showing an interest in signing Garnacho this summer.

Both players operate best out on the left wing for their respective clubs, so Napoli would likely only need to sign one of the duo this summer. And based on the latest reports, it seems most likely that Lang will be moving to Italy this summer rather than Garnacho.

It remains to be seen what will exactly happen with Garnacho's future this summer and if any other clubs will express an interest in signing the 2024 FIFA Puskas Award winner.
