The 2025 NBA Draft is here, and it's one of the most talented classes in recent history. Although it's headlined by Cooper Flagg, the prospects that follow are poised to make an immediate impact at the professional level.
One of those names is VJ Edgecombe, a guard coming out of Baylor University. In his freshman season, he averaged 15.0 points, 5.6 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game.
Edgecombe is currently valued at -600 odds to be taken with the No. 3 overall pick by the Philadelphia 76ers (via DraftKings Sportsbook).
On Wednesday, the former Bears standout made a groundbreaking announcement about the next step in his professional career.

Just hours before the draft, Adidas and Edgecombe announced on social media that the guard signed a multi-year shoe deal with the company.
"Stripes since day 1. Welcome @vj.edgecombe to the adidas Basketball family," the post said.
Following the signing, Edgecombe told ESPN's Nick DePaula, "This is a family, and I’m going to keep doing whatever I can do within that to help grow the brand."
The top prospect is viewed as a fast, athletic offensive weapon and a feisty defender.
Yahoo Sports NBA senior analyst Kevin O'Connor explained there are few to no weaknesses in his game.
"Edgecombe is an explosive, high-motor wing who flies out of nowhere for poster dunks and chase-down blocks," said O'Connor. "He pairs his elite athleticism with a knockdown spot-up jumper and fearless slashing, though he needs to improve his shot creation to become more of a primary creator."
