Manchester United are scouting out a whole range of targets across Europe to rebuild the squad for Ruben Amorim as he looks to restore The Red Devils to their winning ways.
United’s first major signing this summer was Matheus Cunha from Wolverhampton Wanderers, with his £62.5 million release clause set to be paid off over two and a half years.
Now The Red Devils are closing in on Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo, with an agreement in place for him to move to Old Trafford, just waiting on The Bees to approve his departure for a medical.
However, despite these two significant attacking signings, The Red Devils are limiting their recruitment team to only focusing on the front three.
With the consistently problematic performances from Andre Onana, United are also looking for a reliable goalkeeper to join the club between the sticks.
Names like PSG’s Gianluigi Donnarumma, Parma’s Zion Suzuki, and AC Milan’s Mike Magnain have all joined the shortlist of potential replacements for Onana.
However, it’s Aston Villa’s Emiliano Martinez who is seemingly front runner to move to Old Trafford.
That said, it’s not stopping United from keeping options open, with links continuing to be drawn with FC Porto’s Diogo Costa.

The Portuguese shot-stopper has had a great season, registering 16 clean sheets in 32 games, only conceding 27 goals across the league.
As such, United have been looking at Costa as a potential upgrade to Onana.
Whilst Costa’s release clause stands at £64 million (€75 million), it was recently cut to and asking price £51 million (€60 million).
However, journalist Ekrem Konur has taken to X to report that there’s even more wiggle room in the offer.
It’s been reported that Diogo Costa could be signed for as low as £42 million (€50 million) plus add-ons.
Whilst Porto will undoubtedly be wanting to retain their prized keeper, Costa is understood to be keen on a move to the Premier League.
