31-Year-Old NFL Star Teases Future WWE Run: “Practiced My A** Off”

A 31-year-old popular NFL star has teased joining WWE in the future.

WWE and the National Football League have often worked together, with stars from both industries often showing up at each other’s events. In addition to this, the Stamford-based promotion is also widely known for creating custom NFL title belts for the Super Bowl champions.

While not a Super Bowl champion yet, 31-year-old San Francisco 49ers Tight End George Kittle is often spotted at World Wrestling Entertainment events and has stepped into the squared circle a few times, as fans might remember his celebration with Penta, back in February.. Recently, during his appearance on Bussin’ With The Boys, Kittle opened up on his thoughts about a future WWE run.

“Literally until I don’t have fun anymore (is how long I want to continue playing football). Or if Claire (Kittle) looks at me and goes, you kind of look like sh*t out there. You should retire, and I’ll be like, alright… I think if I get to, I’m 35… It hurts just to get pants on in the morning, I think I’ll be like, eh, this isn’t much fun anymore and then I’ll have a conversation with myself but, no, I’m feeling great right now.

I haven’t daydreamed about it (post-NFL life) or anything like that but, I’m aware that there’s potential opportunities and doors that could be opened, and so I’m just excited about that stuff… I would love to do WWE.”

He further stated,

“I think there’s definitely opportunity within that world and I would love nothing more than to be a part of it. My only question mark with that is I so much love being a fan of WWE. I would only do WWE if I bought a ring and practiced my a** off for a while so I wouldn’t look like an idiot out there because I’ve been in a WWE ring like three times.

I don’t know what I’m doing out there. I have an understanding of how it works but, I haven’t moonsaulted off the top rope at WrestleMania like Pat McAfee did. Like what Logan Paul does.”

NFL Legend Teases SummerSlam 2025 Plans Involving John Cena

At Elimination Chamber 2025, John Cena allied with Travis Scott and The Rock to turn heel on Cody Rhodes. Earlier this year, while speaking on ESPN’s First Take, NFL legend Shannon Sharpe pitched the plan of tagging along with Rhodes and facing Cena and Scott at SummerSlam.

“Man, John Cena ought to be ashamed of himself. He waited all this time to become a heel. You know what? Hey, Cody, me and you against John Cena and Travis Scott at SummerFest, SummerSlam, whatever they call it. John Cena, you need to pay for this. Me and Cody Rhodes gonna make sure you do pay for it. We got something for your tricky you-know-what. John Cena gonna have a replaced hip he pulling that dirt cheap stuff over on that man. Travis Scott, you too.”
