Live: Latest Updates on the Brooklyn Nets from the NBA Draft

It’s time for the NBA to pay the Brooklyn piper — the first of many installments due over the next handful of years. We’ll be tracking social media and updating all the latest rumors and action here.

It was exactly a year ago today when the Nets agreed to trade Mikal Bridges to the Knicks — the same moment every Brooklyn Nets fan open a sharpie marker and circled June 25, 2025 on their calendar.

It’s something they honestly should have done after the Kevin Durant trade a year prior, but nobody wanted to admit it back then.

Between those moves, the Nets enriched their future at the expense of the present. It’s something many NBA teams have done before, but not the Nets, at least not recently. That’s what made it so foreign. That’s what makes tonight so special. That “future” has become the present, and it’s and understatement to say people are excited to cash in. Let the fun begin.

Follow below for updates:

June 24, 6:49 PM ET: The Nets landed Terance Mann and the 22nd pick in the 2025 NBA Draft for helping to facility a three-team deal that sent Kristaps Porzingis to the Atlanta Hawks for Georges Niang. The two other teams also exchanged second rounders. The trade can’t become official till July 6, raising possibility deal could be expanded. Story here.
