The Grizzlies make trade for 11th pick, select Cedric Coward in the 2025 NBA Draft

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - The Grizzlies traded draft rights in the first round of the NBA Draft with the Portland Trail Blazers to acquire forward Cedric Coward from Washington State.

ESPN’s Shams Charania announced that the Portland Trail Blazers traded the 11th pick, Coward, to Memphis in exchange for the 16th pick and two second-round picks.

The 16th pick originally was part of the trade that sent Desmond Bane to Orlando.

General Manager Zach Kleiman has made it crystal clear through his words and actions that he is looking to revamp this roster to make a run in the West.
