Collin Murray-Boyles heading to the Raptors

BROOKLYN, N.Y. (WIS) - Standout Gamecock men’s basketball player Collin Murray-Boyles is headed to Toronto.

The Raptors picked the former USC Forward as the No. 9 pick in the NBA Draft.

Murray-Boyles is the first Gamecock ever invited to the green room at the Barclays Center for the draft.

As the No. 9 pick in the 2025 draft, Murray-Boyles becomes the second-highest NBA draft pick in the history of the University of South Carolina, behind only Tom Riker, who was taken as No. 8 overall in 1972.

He will be playing with former Gamecock A.J. Lawson, who’s currently in Toronto.

The 20-year-old led USC in points per game during the 2024-25 season with 16.8, and held the season high in rebounds at 8.1

Murray-Boyles attended the draft in Brooklyn with his Mom, Dad and Gamecock women’s basketball star Chloe Kitts.
