NFL quarterback seems to be dating a pansexual model, and everyone is atwitter

Joe Burrow is one of the stars of the NFL. And like so many big-time players in the NFL — Burrow is the quarterback for the Cincinnati Bengals — there’s often speculation and guessing about his love life and whom he’s dating.

Burrow has, through rumors and speculation, long been linked to model Olivia Ponton. Now TMZ and others are reporting that the two were seen last week spending lots of late-night time together.

“TMZ Sports is told the lowkey lovebirds were attached at the hip all Friday night,” TMZ wrote, “hitting several different celeb spots before ending their tour outside an apartment complex around 3 AM.”

It’s no big shocker that an NFL quarterback, and one of the stars of the league, might be dating a hot model in New York. What’s interesting about Ponton is that she first came out several years ago as bisexual and now says she’s pansexual.

Who is Olivia Ponton, and what is it to be pansexual?

Ponton is a model after making a name for herself posting to TikTok when she was a teenager. She’s been featured in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue. She’s got about 3 million followers on Instagram.

So what’s “pansexual”? It’s hard for some people to understand, but it’s similar to bisexual. People are bisexual are attracted to men and they are attracted to women. People who are pansexual are attracted to people regardless of gender, often including trans people in that mix.

On the one hand, it’s cool that a big-time NFL quarterback would date someone who publicly says she’s pansexual.

Also… many straight guys wish their girlfriend was bisexual or pansexual. Depending on where you look, “lesbian” is consistently near the top of the most popular adult-site searches. And that’s not because lesbians flood the video sites. It’s because straight guys like watching two women.

Joe Burrow was the No. 1 pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. He’s made two Pro Bowls and lead the Bengals to the Super Bowl in the 2022 season, coming up just short against the hometown Los Angeles Rams. He’s got a 5-2 record as a starting quarterback in the NFL Playoffs, though the Bengals have missed the Playoffs the last two seasons.

His stats through five NFL seasons are some of the best ever.

Will Ponton now become a fixture of Bengals games, the way Taylor Swift has cheering for her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, at Kansas City Chiefs games? Don’t bet on it. Either way, we’re happy the young couple feels able to step into the spotlight.
