COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - From Colorado Springs to the NBA!

Former Colorado State and Vanguard guard Nique Clifford was selected with the pick of the NBA Draft.

Clifford was the 24th pick, chosen to play for the Sacramento Kings.

Clifford attended The Vanguard School and was named the Colorado Gatorade Player of the Year as a senior. He committed to Colorado and played three seasons there before transferring to Colorado State, where he quickly became a star.

Clifford led CSU to back-to-back NCAA Tournament appearances, averaging 18.9 points per game, 9.6 rebounds and 4.4 assists on 49 percent shooting during his senior year.
