Arsenal are currently competing with much higher firepower than their north London rivals Tottenham.
The Gunners finished second in the Premier League table in the 2024-25 season, while Spurs ended the campaign in 17th place.
However, Tottenham will also be playing in the Champions League next season after winning the Europa League last month.
Arsenal posted a record-breaking revenue in 2023-24 after their turnover surged from £466.7million to £616.6million, while their wage bill increased dramatically from £234.8million to £327.8million.
Tottenham reduced their wage bill substantially from £251million in 2022-23 to £222million in 2023-24, with that figure making up 42 per cent of their £528.2million overall revenue.
Finance expert Stefan Borson exclusively told Football Insider Spurs are likely to keep their wage bill between £250-280million next season despite their Champions League qualification.

In an interview on Tottenham’s media channel on 17 June, chairman Daniel Levy said the club want to win the Premier League after their Europa League success.
“You saw the outpouring of emotion with the parade,” said Levy. “It was just incredible. We’ve won a European trophy.
“But it’s not enough. It’s what we haven’t done that is more important. We need to win the league. We want to win the Premier League. We want to win the Champions League. We want to win.”

Tottenham expectations revealed after Daniel Levy admission
Borson insisted Levy is not expecting Tottenham to compete for the Premier League next season.
He told Football Insider: “I think they’re still looking for a third-party investor that would take either a stake or all of it.
“But I think their valuation expectation is not realistic in the current market and therefore they are going to be restricted in that respect.
“Now, that doesn’t mean they won’t spend anything. I think they’ll spend a decent amount, but I think they’ll probably keep the wage bill under control again at £250-280million total wage bill.
“That compares with both City and Liverpool at over £400million. Arsenal are probably very close to that, and Chelsea are probably £350million, so they’re competing with much lower firepower.
“The chance of winning either of the Premier League or the Champions League is obviously very slim.
“It’s extremely unlikely you’re going to win the Premier League with a wage bill of £250million. It’s almost impossible. It’s great to have big aims and targets.
“That’s normal for any organisation to have a big goal, but I don’t think realistically he’s expecting to compete for the title next season.”
