Manchester United are determined to secure the signing of Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford as early as possible and the latest reports going on in the media are highly optimistic.

As per today’s version of Manchester Evening News, the Old Trafford outfit are close to sealing the signing of the Cameroonian international from the Bees.

The renowned news source have mentioned that two clubs have continued to talk after the new offer made by the Red Devils and the deal is now ‘on the brink’ of being finalized.

Similarly, according to the print edition of The Guardian today, Man Utd are close to sealing the signature of Mbeumo and Brentford expect the deal to go through.

The media outlet claim Man Utd have agreed an initial fee worth £60million and the teams are now discussing bonuses that could take the entire worth of the deal close to the asking fee of £65million demanded by the Gtech outfit.

The 20-time league champions have already signed Cunha to improve the attack and the addition of Mbeumo would further strengthen the department.

The South American mainly excelled at Wolves in the central attacking midfield position, on the other hand, the African was arguably the second best right winger in the Premier League, behind only the prolific Mohamed Salah.

Between the two playmakers, 35 goals in the Premier League were scored in the last campaign and the duo should be able to help improve United’s tally of 44 goals.

Ruben Amorim had to manage the squad mainly assembled by Erik ten Hag last term and that is perhaps the main reason why he did not get the sack at the end of the campaign despite worst finish in the PL.

Let’s see if he can turn things around next season.
