Everton, Sunderland and Burnley are all eyeing transfers in the Championship this summer.

Millwall marksman Mihailo Ivanovic is believed to be a transfer target for several Premier League clubs this summer after a head-turning first season in the Championship for the Lions.

The 20-year-old, who cost the London outfit a reported £2.8 million last summer, scored 14 goals in all competitions and took to the difficult second tier with aplomb. That transition has not gone unnoticed and Goodison News claim that Everton are one of multiple Premier League clubs looking at a potential transfer move.

The Toffees are set to see Dominic Calvert-Lewin leave this summer and will be in need of reinforcements up front with David Moyes only left with Beto as an out-and-out striker. The outlet adds that Everton are monitoring the availability of Villarreal striker Thierno Barry and Al Hilal man Aleksandr Mitrovic, but Ivanovic is also in the mix.

The striker, who was named Millwall Young Player of the Season, finished the 2024/25 campaign in fine form with four goals in his last four outings, including a brace against Norwich City as the club chased a play-off place. Speaking about the player’s development in April, Alex Neil said: “He’s just grown as a player. His link-ups have become better, his leading the line has become better, his understanding of when to press and how press is becoming better.

“His movement in the box is a massive thing that I’ve been onto him since I walked in the building that he needed to improve on. As you can see with the chances he’s now getting, that’s improved hugely. We need to bear in mind, this kid is 20, he’s come from a foreign country, it’s his first season at this level and he’s got twelve goals, which is a remarkable sort of achievement for him personally.”

Watford star wanted by Premier League duo

Meanwhile, Sunderland, Birmingham City and Burnley have all been linked with a transfer move for Watford midfielder Giorgi Chakvetadze. SportsBoom claims that the 25-year-old Georgia international is attracting interest having followed a strong Euro 2024 showing with a good league season.

The midfielder played 39 times for the Hornets in the Championship last season and is known for his versatility, able to operate in central midfield or on the flanks. It’s believed that Chakvetadze favours a move to the Premier League but is open to joining a Championship rival should the right challenge be put to him.

Watford are said to value the player between £4 and £5 million but are in a strong negotiating position with the midfielder’s contract not set to expire until June 2029.
