Lewis Hall has received plenty of help from his Newcastle United teammates as he continues his recovery from injury.
The left-back is getting closer to a comeback, with Newcastle United sharing an official update on Lewis Hall. He has been working extremely hard during the off-season, and is almost set to resume light ball work.
Hall will be pushing to be involved when pre-season begins, with the Newcastle United squad set to report back to the training ground on 7th July. Their first friendly is currently set for 19th July, with Newcastle facing Celtic at Celtic Park.
The 20-year-old defender will have eyes on being involved in those pre-season friendlies, having not played for the club since late February. He underwent foot surgery, which resulted in Hall missing the Carabao Cup final.
It has been a difficult period for the youngster, but he has been helped through the process by his teammates.

Two Newcastle United players have helped Lewis Hall every day during injury recovery
Two players stand out for Hall, who has highlighted how Jamaal Lascelles and Sven Botman have helped him during his recovery from injury.
“And a lot of the lads have tried to make me feel as part of the team as possible,” he told Newcastle United’s official website.
“I’ll use Jam (Lascelles) as an example of that. Jam has been every day, even though he’s back training, asking me how I am, him and Sven (Botman). Those two in particular have been keeping in contact every day, asking how I’m feeling and showing interest in what I’m doing.

Why Jamaal Lascelles and Sven Botman have been helping Lewis Hall
Every member of the Newcastle United squad will have been wishing Hall a speedy recovery. It is never nice to be injured.
However, it is easy to see why Lascelles and Botman have been giving the £28million man special treatment during his spell on the sidelines. They know what it is like to be out of action for a long time, having endured lengthy ACL injuries.
Lascelles was absent for 13 months, with his last competitive Newcastle United appearance coming in March 2024. His only appearances during the 2024/25 season came as a substitute, but even that meant a lot to Lascelles.
As for Botman, he has had consistent knee problems for almost two years. He suffered two ACL injuries during the 2023/24 season, while he underwent surgery again earlier this year following a new knee problem.
Lascelles and Botman know exactly how difficult it is to be injured, so it is great to hear that they have been rallying around a relatively inexperienced player in Hall during this challenging period. It sums up the unity that Eddie Howe has helped create behind the scenes.
