'Terrific': National media wowed by 'twinkle-toed' Everton target during game on Wednesday

Everton are yet to really get up and running in the summer transfer window.

David Moyes will be well aware of the task at hand this summer on Merseyside, with huge player turnover expected.

To be fair to Everton, it has also been a strange start to the summer, which has seen international youth and club tournaments still taking place.

This will provide a stage for players to impress other clubs as the summer window unfolds.

And there are a number of players who Everton will be keeping an eye on.

Everton are looking to land a deal for Thierno Barry this summer, who is currently playing at the U21 Euros.

However, there is another player on their radar who really impressed over in Slovakia on Wednesday night.

The youngster is now set to play in the U21 Euros final having started in their semi final victory on Wednesday evening against the Netherlands.

And it would be fair to say the national media were impressed with what they saw from the 21-year-old.

“Twinkle-toed down the left flank, always looking to drive at his marker, to the point that the Dutch made a substitution at right-back at half-time,” said Goal.

“Faded in the heat and was subbed for Jonathan Rowe but a terrific display.”

Everton are keen to add to their attack in the market after some issues over recent years in front of goal.

But they will be well aware of the competition arriving at the likes of Ipswich’s door after Chelsea beat Everton to signing Liam Delap.

Omari Hutchinson shines for England U21s

It may have been another of the forwards who stole the headlines with the two goals for England against the Netherlands, but it was a strong showing from Hutchinson.

78 minutes played

45 touches

90% pass accuracy

2 key passes

5/9 successful dribbles

10/14 ground duels won

5x was fouled

Everton also have an eye on Nick Woltemade, who has impressed at the tournament, but Hutchinson could arrive this summer with Premier League experience.

The Toffees have so many positions to fill in the market following the departures of numerous players as free agents.

However, no deal for Hutchinson will be pursued any time as soon as he now has a final to prepare for.
