Welcome to KUMB's latest transfer rumour round-up - five stories from around the web featuring players potentially on West Ham's shopping list, or current Hammers on the radar of other clubs...

Joe Gomez

West Ham United are monitoring 28-year-old centre-back Joe Gomez as they join Leeds United and Everton in the race for the defender's signature.

While Gomez is currently happy at Liverpool and expected to have a role under new manager Arne Slot, his future could change if the club signs another defender - such as Marc Guehi, who the Reds are currently courting. West Ham are thought to be prepared to make an offer if Gomez becomes available; no specific price has been mentioned yet.

Max Rosenfelder

Another youngster being monitored by West Ham is German Under 21 international Max Rosenfelder. The right-sided defender, who enjoyed his breakthrough season with Freiburg in the Bundesliga last season is also reported to have been watched by Brentford and Premier League newcomers Leeds United.

Valued at around the €8million mark centre half Rosenfelder, 22, has represented his country at all junior levels from Under 16 through to Under 21 and, if signed, would very much be one for the future.

Maxwel Cornet

Genoa are pushing hard to extend their successful loan arrangement for 28-year-old winger Maxwel Cornet. Having impressed with two goals and an assist in his first six Serie A appearances, the Italian club are in talks with the Irons to secure either another loan or, potentially, a permanent option - though negotiations are said to have hit a snag over Cornet’s £65k=per-week wages.

While Genoa aim to find a solution, West Ham remain open to the deal as it would help ease the club's wage bill.

Barıs Alper Yılmaz

West Ham United remain interested in signing 25-year-old Galatasaray forward Barış Alper Yılmaz, it is claimed. The Turkish international, who is eager to move to Europe was first linked with a move to the Premier League back in January. And although a purported £30m bid is said to have been rejected West Ham may try again, with Galatasaray now reportedly valuing him at around €35million.

Manager Graham Potter views Yılmaz as a strong attacking option; the 28-times-capped winger will decide on his future after the national team's latest camp considering factors like club culture, playing style, and location.

Guido Rodriguez

Considered surplus to requirements by Graham Potter, the Argentine midfielder was hoping former club Real Betis may come back in for his signature just 12 months after he left Spain for east London.

However the chances of a potential return to La Liga with Los Verdiblancos are currently considered to be slim since former Hammers boss Manuel Pellegrini, the current managerial incumbent at the cash-strapped Seville-based side, set aside the bulk of his available wage budget on signing former Leeds enforcer Júnior Firpo, who is set to arrive at Betis as a free transfer.
