According to a claim in the Turkish media, Galatasaray midfielder Gabriel Sara is likely to remain with the Super Lig champions.
The Brazilian has been linked with a move to Leeds United in recent weeks, along with Aston Villa, Manchester City and Manchester United. He deserves those link, given his performances.
Kutlu Akpınar has spoken about the future of the 25-year-old after reports he could be returning to English football this summer following his time with Norwich City.
Again, the Turkish journalist backs up Leeds United’s interest in the player, but says it’s unlikely he be leaving Galatasaray in this window.
He reports the Galatasaray management are happy with Sara and that he is part of their plans ahead of the next campaign.
“Leeds United are one of the teams following Gabriel Sara outside of Aston Villa. There is no change in the process. Both Mr. Okan and the management are very satisfied. He will remain in the squad,” said the journalist.
There have been recent claims in the Turkish press that Leeds United were looking into signing Sara and had taken initial steps.
However, at the time it was reported Gala’s manager Okan Buruk wants the central midfielder to remain with them despite the interest from English clubs.
Sara made 45 appearances last season, scoring two goals. He’s contracted to Cimbom until June 2029.
