Manchester United is viewed as a dream move for Bryan Mbeumo this summer, according to Fabrizio Romano. The Brentford star is closing in on becoming United's second signing of the transfer window.

After seeing an opening bid worth £55million turned down, United have returned with a new and improved offer in excess of £60m. There's confidence on all sides that a deal can be finalised with hope that Mbeumo will be part of United's pre-season squad on July 7.

Mbeumo has already strengthened United's attack after they decided to trigger his £62.5m release clause at Wolves. Like Cunha, Mbeumo is wanted by other teams but it seems as though United have succeeded in their pull once again.

Despite firm interest from Tottenham Hotspur, the Cameroon international recently informed confidants that he wants to join United. And according to Romano, a move to Old Trafford is the 25-year-old's dream move.

Speaking on his YouTube channel, the journalist said: "Manchester United maintain their optimism to reach an agreement for Bryan Mbeumo, because they have an agreement with the player.

"What I can add today, is the player is also being clear with Brentford. He loves Brentford and has a fantastic relationship with people at the club. The manager has left but it's about the staff, the management, the teammates.

"Mbeumo is really in a great relationship but he's been clear in telling them that going to Manchester United is a dream move. He would like to go to Man United as soon as possible.

"They improved their bid in recent days from what I heard over the weekend, a new bid was sent in excess of £60million package. Man United are trying to get it done as soon as possible, negotiations are underway and they are confident Mbeumo will be the second arrival after Matheus Cunha."
