Constant contacts to seal deal for Manchester United player – Loan and then amortisation lowered payment

Rasmus Højlund’s reputation has taken a hit at Manchester United but he continues to be of interest to clubs in Italy.

Inter Milan is repeatedly presented as the most interested club and even though the Nerazzurri have not made a decisive move, they are not giving up on the Manchester United player.

Gazzetta dello Sport report that even though Cristian Chivu’s side are closing in on Parma’s Ange-Yoan Bonny, they still see Højlund as someone who can improve their attack.

The striker has expressed an openness towards joining Inter and that is why the former Italian champions are still trying to land him.

So far, Manchester United have remained firm in their asking price of €45m. Even though that valuation is too high for Inter, they have kept in touch with the Red Devils.

They want to propose an initial loan deal with an option or conditional obligation to buy which would be valid in 12 months. The plan is that a year from now the €45m amount would be lower because Manchester United will have amortised more of the player’s purchase cost.

There’s no mention of a loan fee, but surely that would be key.
