Wolves are looking to get some players out of the club this summer, and currently there is speculation about the future of Sam Johnstone.
Sam Johnstone signed for Wolves last year, arriving in a £10 million transfer deal from Crystal Palace.
It was thought that, given the amount of money involved, Johnstone was going to become the new number one at Molineux, and that Jose Sa would leave.
But Sa ended up staying put.
Johnstone played a handful of games, before losing his place after failing to impress.
For most of the second half of the season, he sat on the bench, but missed several squads towards the end of the campaign.
It’s been claimed Johnstone wants out of Wolves, and ideally, the club will not go into the new season with this situation.
Sunderland were recently touted as a potential destination for Johnstone, but the Black Cats are doing something that may come as a blow to the Wolves goalkeeper.

Sunderland were said to be a potential landing spot for Johnstone this summer.

It seems clear that the 32-year-old is not in favour at Molineux, having made just three FA Cup appearances under Vitor Pereira.
He has yet to play in the Premier League under the Portuguese, who was settled on Sa at the business end of the season.
Sa himself could leave Wolves this summer.
But it seems Johnstone could still be moving on even if that comes to pass.

But it looks like he may not join Sunderland, because they are now in talks to sign Marcin Bulka.
Fabrizio Romano reports: “Sunderland open talks to sign Polish goalkeeper Marcin Bulka as part of their ambitious project.
“Bulka has been approached by several clubs this summer but #SAFC are now in active talks with OGC Nice.”
Should Bulka, 25, complete a move to the Stadium of Light, that would surely rule then rule out Johnstone, who wants to be a number one.
Wolves must offload Johnstone this summer
Wolves must work to offload Johnstone this summer, even if Sa is going to depart.
There’s been no major suggestions that Sa will go, but it’s not out of the question someone could come in for him.
If that happens, Wolves should still sell Johnstone, who just hasn’t done enough to warrant being kept around to be a number one. While Sunderland appear to be focused on Bulka, there could still be an approach from Leeds United, who have also been linked with Johnstone.
If Sa leaves, Johnstone should also go and the club should sign someone like Christos Mandas – a reported target for Wolves – and have Dan Bentley serve as his number two.
Bentley is ideal for the role of number two goalkeeper, and also brings a lot to the dressing room and is part of the leadership group at Molineux.
