Jake O’Brien gives his honest opinion on Everton’s new 2025-26 home kit

Everton have finally released their new home kit for the 2025/26 campaign.

The new season is going to be one that goes down in Everton’s history books as the club moves into the new stadium.

David Moyes will soon lead his side out at the Hill Dickinson Stadium as the Toffees start their new era under the Friedkins.

There was plenty of room for optimism in the second half of last season following the return of the 62-year-old manager.

But Everton are looking to make big improvements this summer in the transfer market as numerous players depart as free agents.

Fans will be hoping to see a number of new faces wearing the new kit this season, with Jake O’Brien already sharing his honest thoughts on it.

Everton’s home kit has been inspired by Bramley-Moore Dock as the club make the move from L4 into their state-of-the-art new home.

It is going to be a historic move for the Blues, who will be hoping to see brighter times under the Friedkins.

Speaking to the club about the new kit, defender O’Brien has shared his honest thoughts about the Castore design.

“It’s been a really enjoyable first year here for me and a real honour to be a part of such a historic period for the club. But now we’re all focusing on a new dawn for the club at Hill Dickinson Stadium,” he said.

“I’ve been lucky enough to see it in person and it’s an incredible place, so everyone is excited for what we can achieve there. To top it all off, we’re wearing a really great kit, so we’re all set to go now!”

Everton’s away kit has been leaked, with the club now expected to release it ahead of their trip to the United States next month.

The home kit may receive a mixed review from the fans, but it is what the players do in the kit which will truly matter.

Jake O’Brien set for interesting role in 2025/26 campaign

Having struggled to make a case for himself under Sean Dyche, O’Brien really impressed Moyes from January onwards.

The defender came into his own under the Scot as he was provided an opportunity to play at right-back.

Everton are looking to sign a new right-back this summer, with Kenny Tete just one of the options on their radar.

This will leave O’Brien’s spot up for grabs, as the natural centre-back could find himself battling James Tarkowski and Jarrad Branthwaite for the starting spots.
