Manchester City transfer latest as Ederson commits his future to the club amid speculation
Ederson jogs out for warmups before the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 group G match between Manchester City FC and Wydad AC
Ederson has pledged his future to Manchester City
Ederson has insisted his future is with Manchester City amid speculation linking him with an exit.
The goalkeeper is in the final 12 months of his contract and there was interest last summer from clubs in Saudi Arabia. Those links have circulated again this term but the Brazil international has poured cold water on any suggestion he will depart the club.
He said: "My future is here. Some friends send me a lot of news but 99 percent is fake news.
"I understand you guys. You need the news to put a like on social media or rant for the news. I understand but there's a lot of fake news around my name.
"My head is here. It stays with the city. It gives me everything to go back to the Premier League again and try to win the Champions League as well.”

Ederson and goalkeeper rival Stefan Ortega are both out of contract at the Etihad next year and there remains uncertainty around the long-term situation for City between the sticks.
The Blues have an interest in Porto goalkeeper Diogo Costa but it seems unlikely Pep Guardiola will move for a new first choice 'keeper this summer. Marcus Bettinelli has arrived as third choice following Scott Carson's departure.
Ederson is expected to start in goal for City in their crunch Club World Cup game with Juventus tonight. City need a win to progress as group winners and avoid a likely last-16 tie with Real Madrid.
Pep Guardiola's side have six points from six so far and the City chief is keen for his side to go deep in the tournament as they seek to build momentum for the domestic campaign.
Ederson too wants to lift the trophy next month but believes the heat, with City's match tonight in Orlando set to be played in scorching temperatures, could have an impact and potentially open the door for a Brazilian club to go all the way.
"I think the weather is more difficult for us," added Ederson. "The weather is so hot, so hot, especially playing at 12 or 3pm. It's worse for us. But it's hot for everyone.
“Of course, the Brazilian players play more in the sun. It's different for us. Playing in England is more internal. But football is the same for everyone.
"For me it's no surprise because the Brazilians now have a really, really good team. They play so well, they play very good. I have good investment now to buy good players and young players coming from the academy.
"But I'm so happy to see the Brazilian team play really, really good in this competition.
"But I work every day to try to win every game, to stay in the first group and go to the final. The team works to win this competition. I look at every player, focus on the training, on the games. It’s really important and good for the club."
