Man Utd transfer agreement 'hours away' as crucial £21m deal grows closer

According to Sky Italy, Juventus will hold talks with Sancho's representatives imminently to try and strike a definitive and clear agreement over a transfer.

It is claimed that Sancho could make a decision in hours, and if given the green light, the Old Lady will work to finalise a deal with United quickly.

Napoli's interest has gone quiet after sporting director Giovanni Manna publicly insisted the club would not match the England international's salary demands.

And while Fenerbahce are well-positioned to table an attractive financial proposal, Juventus are in the ascendancy as they push to win Sancho over.

Sancho is strongly expected to depart United permanently this summer after spending the last two seasons on loan at Borussia Dortmund and Chelsea.

He didn't set the world alight at Stamford Bridge last season, prompting Chelsea to back out of the £25m obligation to buy inserted in his contract.

The Blues instead paid a £5m fine to send him packing back to Manchester, but he is not likely to return to Carrington for pre-season.

Sancho is set to be one of several attacking moves in what Ruben Amorim is targeting as a transformational summer in the final third.

Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho and Antony are also in line to leave Old Trafford for good, generating much-needed funds to boost Amorim's budget.

The Portuguese head coach has already started the process of replacing the out-of-favour quartet by signing Matheus Cunha in a £62.5m deal from Wolves.

United are on the verge of reaching an agreement worth over £60m with Brentford for Bryan Mbeumo, another Premier League-proven goalscorer.

Amorim also reportedly wants a new starting striker, leaving Rasmus Hojlund's future uncertain amid interest from Inter Milan. The United No. 9 scored just four league goals last term.

Sancho's impending exit could represent the first domino to fall in a highly-anticipated summer clearout in M16.
