**England U21s are into the European Championships final for the second time in a row as they look to defend their crown against Germany.**
Newcastle United star Tino Livramento has been a big part of England's success in the tournament so far, but arguably, the Young Lions' two best players also have Newcastle connections.
Former Toon star Elliot Anderson has been in stunning form for England, attracting plenty of plaudits from commentators and pundits, with commentators often reminding Newcastle fans of the annoying circumstances which saw us having to sell our young ace last summer. Why, oh why didn't we insert a buy-back clause in that Nottingham Forest deal?
As well as Anderson, Liverpool's Harvey Elliott has been magnificent, scoring two world-class goals last night in the win over the Netherlands.
Newcastle have been linked with Harvey Elliott in the past
----------------------------------------------------------
Newcastle have been [said to be interested in Harvey Elliott](https://nufcfeed.com/newcastle-united-eyeing-22-year-old-premier-league-winner-in-50m-swoop-this-summer-1305547), and seeing him play for England rather than Liverpool has allowed me to watch him with way less bias, and honestly, we need to be fighting for his signature.
The 22-year-old is expected to leave Anfield this summer after only making two starts for the Reds in their title-winning season. Rather than spend his best years on the bench, Elliott is prepared to move on.
For the longest time, I didn't see the point in us signing a player who couldn't get into the Liverpool side, but honestly, I was a fool. His versatility alone makes him a good option for Eddie Howe.
Harvey Elliott has the potential to be a superstar
--------------------------------------------------
The left-footed midfielder can play through the middle and on either flank, making him a perfect signing for Newcastle this summer, and the England international is, like Tino Livramento, only in the U21S squad to help Lee Carsley defend the title; otherwise, they'd have been in Thomas Tuchel's senior side.
While I'm not a big fan of inverted wingers, a lot of that has come from watching Miguel Almiron for years. Harvey Elliott has shown in the Euros what he's capable of coming in off the left, and his four goals in the tournament show that he certainly knows where the goal is.
No doubt his performances will have added a few million to his asking price, or could even be giving Arne Slot second thoughts, but even though he is valued at £50 million, right now he looks worth every penny.
I know, I know ... it's only the under 21s, but the lad made two starts for Liverpool and a handful of substitute appearances and is being talked about for a call-up for England seniors - he has the talent to be huge. Also ... Eddie Howe. Need I say more?
