Last season, Leeds United had 85 goals in the Championship. The club saw themselves return to being an attacking team after flat years in the Premier League.
Joel Piroe lead the scoring charts last season, but the striker came under a lot of criticisms for his style of play. Piroe went on a nine-game goalless run in the middle of the season, but still kept his place in the team. Many have called for the club to add a new striker this summer.

Further reports indicate that Nmecha may be used in a different role under Farke, opening the door for another center forward to be signed. Fulham’s Rodrigo Muniz is top of that list; the Brazilian had a decent season in the league last year. Leeds had already had a bid for him rejected this summer.
Football Insider source Mick Brown admits that the Whites will push to try and sign the 24-year old again. Brown believes that Leeds could be forced to spend in excess of the £40million tag on Muniz because the options in the team are not good enough:
“…Joel Piroe and Patrick Bamford are Championship players, that’s the issue Leeds have at the moment they haven’t got many Premier League-level players.
“So they’re aiming to bring in players with that experience at the top level, and they accept they might have to pay mega money to do that.
“Muniz is one of those and he’s now emerged as one of their top targets.
Muniz could be key
The 24-year played his part in Fulham’s season. It did not matter if he came off the bench or started games, but he always made an impact.

Muniz had 1.80 shots on target per 90, among the 92nd percentile of players in the league. The forward is adept at getting efforts on goal. Leeds United should really consider this move.
