Everton have been linked with a move for Brighton attacking midfielder Matt O’Riley this summer.
Dr Rajpal Brar, an injury expert, has assessed the fitness record of the four-cap Denmark international ahead of a potential transfer.
The 24-year-old moved to the AmEx Stadium last summer, but was plagued with injuries in his first season in the Premier League.

O’Riley expected to clear medical despite injury woes
The former Celtic midfielder is expected to pass his medical despite the ankle and knee injury issues last season, according to Dr Brar.
Everton have placed O’Riley on their transfer shortlist this summer as they’re eyeing midfield reinforcements.

Speaking exclusively to Goodison News, Dr Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and a Sports Scientist, said about O’Riley: “He did have issues with his ankle and his knee last season and that’s something Everton would want to take a closer look at.
“However, he ended the season strongly and he should be clearing his medical.
“What any club signing him would want to gauge is if there are any knock-on effects from those setbacks.”

Everton may not prioritise O’Riley transfer
O’Riley, a highly talented midfielder, would be a strong addition to Everton’s squad, bringing creativity and goal-scoring ability.
However, his injury record during his first Premier League campaign with Brighton raises concerns.
Persistent ankle and muscle injuries limited him to just 21 league appearances, suggesting fragility in the top flight’s demanding environment.
Everton, already grappling with squad depth issues, may hesitate to pursue him, fearing recurring absences could disrupt their campaign.
With financial constraints and the need for reliable players, the Toffees might prioritise signings with proven durability over O’Riley’s undoubted but risky potential.
Instead, David Moyes is likely to ask the board to make safer signings whose availability is guaranteed, especially as Abdoulaye Doucoure has left and Idrissa Gueye could be on his way out.
