Juventus arrange pivotal video call to negotiate Jadon Sancho deal, agents working hard to secure Man Utd exit

The days are counting down to Jadon Sancho’s departure from Manchester United.

Jadon Sancho, 25, returned to United when Chelsea paid a £5m penalty clause at the end of his loan agreement. The Blues did that to avoid splashing out £25m to make the deal permanent.

The England international joined United from Borussia Dortmund in a £73m transfer back in 2021. Since then, Sancho has failed to reach the required standards at Old Trafford and was sent on loan twice: back to Borussia Dortmund and Chelsea.

He scored five goals in 41 appearances for Chelsea, including a stunner in the Europa Conference League final win over Real Betis. But it wasn’t enough to convince Enzo Maresca that he was worth the £25m Chelsea were initially willing to pay for his signature.

Sancho has been linked with a move to Fenerbahce, which would see him move his career from England to Turkey. The winger has already proven himself on the continent after establishing himself as a hot prospect in the Bundesliga, so there is optimism that a transfer could take place this summer.

There has been no future for Sancho at United since his public falling out with Erik ten Hag. He has never played under Ruben Amorim and is unlikely to anytime soon.

Juventus schedule video call to discuss Jadon Sancho transfer

It is no secret that Sancho’s entourage has been busy this summer.

That is clear to see amid interest from Fenerbahce, Juventus and Napoli in recent weeks.

Napoli appear to have other ideas such as PSV Eindhoven’s Noah Lang, and Juventus are trying to take advantage of that by beating Fenerbahce in the race to sign Sancho. United are simply looking for the best deal possible.

According to Italian outlet Calciomercato, Juventus have arranged a video call to take place today, which will allow them to discuss a potential deal with United.

It is understood that Juventus have spent days working on a proposal, including talks with Sancho’s agents.

The report stresses that Sancho has been a long-term target for Juve. They suggest he was a target for the Turin outfit last summer before he joined Chelsea on loan.

Only time will tell if a deal materialises from today’s video call between United and Juventus for Sancho.

Sancho ‘very close’ to accepting Juventus offer

The story surrounding Sancho is developing at a rapid rate.

There is a strong belief that Juventus are advancing on a deal to sign the United flop.

Italian reporter Marco Giordano claims Juventus are ‘very close’ to accepting a contract offer made by Juventus sporting director Damien Comolli.

Giordano adds that United have approved a €25m proposal and the deal could close next week.

This is one to keep a close eye on.
