Man Utd are focused on player sales in the summer transfer window as they look to overhaul their first-team squad.
Jadon Sancho's wage demands are viewed as a 'stumbling block' behind a permanent Manchester United exit in the summer transfer window. The 25-year-old has been deemed surplus to requirements by head coach Ruben Amorim and is free to find a new club this summer.
Sancho spent last season on loan with Chelsea but they opted out of their obligation to buy him permanently for as much as £25 million and instead paid a £5m penalty for backing out of the deal. It is understood the forward was open to a move but talks broke down over his salary demands.
It is understood Serie A giants Juventus and Napoli are both interested in a move for Sancho this summer, but their interest could be derailed by the player's personal terms. Fabrizio Romano claims both clubs are happy to pay the £25m asking price for the winger but the overall financial package is putting them off.

Jadon Sancho wage demands an issue
Manchester United's preference would be to sanction a permanent exit for Jadon Sancho in the summer transfer window, but his wage demands could prove to be an issue in securing a deal. In an update on his transfer situation, Fabrizio Romano has reiterated that salary expectations are the main issue with a move to Serie A this summer, and it makes little sense for United to send him out on another loan exit with subsidised wages.
"Two Italian clubs have already made contact with Sancho’s camp. Juventus have called in recent days to be informed on deal conditions, while Napoli had a meeting with his camp but both clubs are not willing to pay his entire salary as it is considered too high" Romano told GIVEMESPORT. "This is the real issue, as sources say paying a £25m transfer fee would not be a problem for Italian sides, but the salary is seen as a stumbling block.
"The player’s decision will also be important to clarify what’s going to happen next for his future, as Juventus and Napoli will both talk to Sancho directly to understand his desire and plans. No proposal or approach has been made by Borussia Dortmund so far. Fenerbahce have been linked with a move but, at the moment, they only called to be informed on the situation and deal conditions. No proposal has been sent to Sancho or Manchester United yet."
