Were Barcelona to act on their interest in Manchester United's Marcus Rashford, all three parties involved can look forward to the dream scenario developing quickly.

Old Trafford chiefs may have hoped Aston Villa would be the ones to eliminate an issue before it sprung, though the Premier League rivals have not taken up their £40m option to sign Rashford at the end of his recent short-term loan. Therefore a new home will have to be found for the 27-year-old who has been out of Ruben Amorim's plans since last December.

Barca sporting director Deco has already openly discussed their interest with the summer transfer window in play, now the latest rumour is of a loan deal for the season ahead.

It might not fetch Man United a fee right away, though the La Liga champions have actually just confirmed their latest major financial boost - one that could help shift Rashford on for good at a later date.

On Wednesday, it was announced Sunday, August 10 will be the date that Barca return to playing home matches at the Spotify Camp Nou. The iconic stadium has been through a £1.25bn restoration project that meant the club have been forced to play elsewhere over the past two seasons.

Originally with capacity of 99,000, the Spanish side moved from Camp Nou to their temporary home at the city's former Olympic Stadium, which holds a reduced 60,000. Their renovated stadium is aiming to house 105,000 - the largest football venue in Europe.

Revenue from ticket sales and all fees supporters are charged with around the match-going experience will serve to drastically increase Barca's income over a period of time and put them in a much more secure financial position to go out to sign their top targets at will.

In Rashford's case, even if just a loan now it will be a dream come true, or so it is said, for him to be a part of a new era with the five-time Champions League winners.

Barca get what they desire most - added depth amongst their pool of wingers - and for Man United it is an opportunity to get a player off the books again for the 2025/26 campaign.

If they offer the La Liga club the same £40m option that Villa were handed, only for next summer's transfer window, they could at least land the fee they have been asking for all this time Rashford has been out of the fold at his boyhood club.

A win, win, win scenario.
