Agent offers player to Atletico Madrid as Sunderland in mix to sign him

Angeliño’s agent has now offered the full-back to Atletico Madrid, providing a potential problem for Sunderland’s attempts to sign the Roma full-back.

That’s [according to Corriere dello Sport](https://www.corrieredellosport.it/), who report that Angeliño’s agent is working to find his client a new club this summer.

The newspaper explains that Roma are working to balance their books with sales this summer and have several players on the list to sell. Angeliño is one of them.

The Italian club have given the player’s agent and intermediaries a mandate to find a new club for the Spaniard, and they are working on that front.

Al-Hilan and Al-Nassr have both been linked and would be ready to start negotiations over a deal. Sunderland are also ‘sniffing out’ the opportunity but yet to make an official offer.

His intermediaries are still offering him around despite that and have offered him to Atletico Madrid as well. They’re looking for a left-back after a move for Theo Hernandez fell through. A phone call has also been made to AC Milan.

Roma are in a hurry to get a sale done so there is an opportunity for all the suitors to secure a bargain price if they wish. That includes Sunderland, but they could face fierce competition as his agents drum up interest.
