Exits will continue to happen at Wolves this summer, but one player is set to stay put.
As soon as the window opened, Matheus Cunha completed a move to Manchester United.
The Brazilian was followed shortly after by another key player, as Rayan Ait-Nouri signed for Manchester City.
Further departures are expected as Goncalo Guedes has been linked to Besiktas, and Nelson Semedo’s contract will expire in the coming days, with no decision clarified as of yet.

Enso Gonzalez to remain at Wolves
The Semedo situation is frustrating, as being Wolves’ captain, some clarity on the right-back’s next steps would’ve been appreciated by fans.
Vitor Pereira will search for a replacement for the Portugal international, the same way that Wolves are on the prowl to sign successors to Cunha and Ait-Nouri.
It’s not all doom and gloom in WV1, however, as it’s recently been confirmed that one player is expected to stay at Wolves in the hope of impressing.
Wolves signed Enso Gonzalez from Paraguayan club Libertad during the summer of 2023, but since touching down in England, the winger has suffered a bit of a nightmare.
MORE WOLVES STORIES
Gonzalez suffered a serious knee injury that ruled him out for the 2024/25 season, setting his pursuit of being a part of the first team back quite considerably.
Though Wolves haven’t seen much from the Paraguayan at all, there’s hope that the Old Gold will get a glimpse of the wide player soon, as journalist Christian Martin told Versus.
“It looks like it,” Martin said when asked if Gonzalez will stay at Wolves for the 2025/26 season.
“The information I have is from Enso’s entourage, and from the club is a mutual debt, he with the club and the club with him.”
Martin wasn’t referring to a financial debt, but more to unfinished business between the player and the club, making the stance of both parties clear.
Gonzalez has been ramping up his recovery in preparation to impress Pereira when given the chance to do so.

Gonzalez’s strengths identified by Matt Hobbs
Not much was known about the 20-year-old when he moved to Wolves, and due to injury, there’s still a lot left to be understood about the player.
Paraguayan-American journalist Roberto Rojas told us that Gonzalez has the potential to be Wolves’ answer to Pedro Neto one day, but after his injury, a baby steps approach will be taken.
The winger’s talent has always been known, as was communicated by former Wolves sporting director Matt Hobbs at the point of the Paraguayan’s arrival.
“His creativity stood out, playing forward, being aggressive in possession and doing his work out of possession, but for me it was more what he does offensively.
“Most players do the other side of the work if you’re getting the right sort of people, but with Enso, I’m excited to see what he gives us going forward.”
The youngster could be a revelation for Pereira, as it’s become clear that he’s eager to prove himself to Wolves after a lengthy lay-off.
