The NBA draft is here. While the New York Knicks don't have a first-round pick in the draft, they'll see some activity during the second day of the event.
Last year, the league separated the first round and second round of the draft. For the Knicks, this means an even longer wait until they make their decision.
Beyond the draft, there are plenty of decisions to be made by the front office. The Knicks still do not have a head coach under contract after firing Tom Thibodeau.
Without a first-round pick, there isn't much of a rush, either. That is, unless they decide to make a major roster decision when free agency opens.
The New York fan base still held a certain level of optimism that the club could find a way to interview head coach Jason Kidd and pry him away from the Dallas Mavericks.

Mavericks general manager Nico Harrison has failed upwards and was able to draft Cooper Flagg No. 1 overall in the draft, though. There's a great chance this would make Kidd want to stay with the organization longer.
On the night of the first round, Harrison confirmed Kidd won't be going anywhere, meaning the Knicks' head coaching search will have to shift entirely.
"He will be the coach next year," Harrison said of Kidd.
Ian Begley reports that James Borrego and Micah Nori, while receiving interviews, might not be the decision for New York. Instead, they could opt for more experience.
"I still do think at the end of the day, they will end up with a head coach that has more head coaching experience in the league than a (James) Borrego, who had a couple years in Charlotte, or a (Micah) Nori, who has yet to be a head coach in this league," Begley reports.
Mike Brown and Taylor Jenkins, two other candidates for the role, stand out with experience and potential. Michael Malone is also an interesting name on the open market.
The Knicks will want to nail their hire, regardless of when it comes.
Navigating the offseason without a head coach might be more difficult, but if they keep their roster intact, there isn't much harm in waiting to make sure they land the right leader.
