The Houston Texans have made numerous decisions during the offseason, hoping for a roster that can earn their third-straight AFC South title.
Now that the dust has settled and most of the offseason movements have passed, analysts are able to dissect each team's decisions.
When breaking down the Texans' offseason, FOX Sports' Ben Arthur used one word to describe Houston's roster changes: underwhelming.
"After C.J. Stroud was the second-most sacked quarterback in 2024, the Texans entered the offseason in dire need of retooling their offensive line," Arthur wrote.
"But their moves to address the group, including trading away perennial Pro Bowl left tackle Laremy Tunsil, feel disappointing."

The Texans did have a head-scratching approach to their offseason after parting with Tunsil, but to say it was underwhelming could be a stretch. Houston was able to retain most of the 2024 roster, including new contracts with extensions for Derek Stingley Jr. and Danielle Hunter.
The Texans also added some new members to the wide receiver room with Christian Kirk and rookies Jayden Higgins and Jaylin Noel to surround veteran Nico Collins. Houston also bolstered the offensive line with the additions of Laken Tomlinson and Aireontae Ersery from Minnesota in the second round.
It's certainly fair to criticize the Texans' struggles on the offensive line, as Stroud was sacked 52 times in the 2024 season. Regardless, a change was needed. Tunsil was entering a contract year, as well as other players requiring new contracts, so it was inevitable that someone would be packing their bags.
Although their offseason wasn't particularly splashy, it wasn't necessarily unproductive either. Only time will tell if the Texans made the right decisions.
