Crystal Palace are confident they can keep both Jean-Philippe Mateta and Adam Wharton at Selhurst Park beyond the summer transfer window.
That is according to former Man United and Blackburn chief scout Mick Brown, who remains very well-connected within the game, as he exclusively told Football Insider that Oliver Glasner is determined to keep his best players at the club.
Mateta has been heavily linked with a move to Man United, while Wharton has attracted interest from the likes of Liverpool, Man City and Real Madrid in recent months.
Football Insider revealed in March that Palace plan to keep their best players and are prepared to turn down offers in favour of keeping a strong squad.
Meanwhile, Eberechi Eze will only be sold if clubs are willing to match his £68million release clause as all parties are otherwise happy for him to remain at Palace.
This comes after Brown told Football Insider that Tottenham are planning talks with Eze’s agent about the possibility of a summer move as one of their top targets.

Crystal Palace make Eze, Guehi, Mateta and Wharton plans
Brown told Football Insider last month that Palace are preparing to spend big money to strengthen Glasner’s squad ahead of their participation in the Europa League.
The former scout, who has a wealth of experience in top-level player recruitment after over a decade at Man United during their most successful period, has insisted the Eagles’ participation in Europe will also boost their chances of keeping players.
“Crystal Palace want to keep their best players,” he told Football Insider.
“Being in the Europa League will help with that, because every player wants to be playing in Europe.
“But they’re in danger of being picked apart which is a real shame.
“It might be a question about who comes in for them because it can be difficult to keep players when top clubs come calling – like Bournemouth are experiencing.
“But they have no plans to sell either Mateta or Wharton, even though there has been a lot of interest, because they don’t want to weaken the squad.
“I don’t think either of them will agitate for a move, from what I hear they’re happy to stay.
“It looks like Guehi is going to leave, but that’s something they’ve expected and planned for.
“Eze is the difficult one, he’s got this release clause which means it’s not all in Palace’s hands, but unless that is met I can’t see them letting him go.
“Again, I don’t think he’s going to force a move and he would be happy to stay if it didn’t happen.
“My advice to the players would be to be careful what they wish for, because it’s a stable and ambitious environment at Palace and they might regret leaving that.
“From Palace’s point of view, the manager is going to want to keep his best players and I expect the club to do everything in their power to make that happen.”

Marc Guehi update emerges after Liverpool talks
Despite their efforts to keep hold of their best players, there is an expectation that Guehi will be sold as he enters the final year of his contract.
Brown told Football Insider on 24 June that Liverpool are closing in on signing Guehi and are willing to pay £50million for the 24-year-old.
Arne Slot will speak to Guehi about his role in the team and is expected to offer assurances that he will be one of their starting centre-backs next season.
This comes after Football Insider exclusively revealed on 20 June that Guehi wants to join Liverpool ahead of the likes of Newcastle and Tottenham if he is to leave Palace.
