Chelsea are expected to add to their depth in attack this summer after manager Enzo Maresca admitted that his side were lacking a winger ahead of the new Premier League season.
Maresca said he expects a winger to come in to Chelsea, after seeing Jadon Sancho return to Manchester United and Mykhailo Mudryk charged by the FA.
The Blues are expected to confirm the signing of Jamie Gittens from Borussia Dortmund in the coming days, with their interest not going away despite missing out on him before the Club World Cup.
However, with three major signings still expected for Chelsea this summer, another attacker joining the club cannot be ruled out.

Chelsea ‘waiting in the wings’ to sign Rodrygo
Real Madrid superstar Rodrygo has been tipped to leave his club this summer, with him seemingly behind Kylian Mbappe, Jude Bellingham and Vinicius Jr in the pecking order there.
Chelsea have had conversations with Rodrygo already as they weigh up making a move for the Brazilian, and reports now are claiming that they are very closely monitoring his situation.
According to ABC, the Blues are one of the top sides ‘waiting in the wings’ to sign the Madrid man, with him set to make a decision with his family over where he will play his football next season.
Chelsea do have plenty of wingers in their squad already, and are adding Estevao Willian and Geovany Quenda in consecutive summer windows over the next 12 months.

Rodrygo has been described as ‘world-class’ in the past by FootballFancast, and as Todd Boehly’s side make a step up next season this is the calibre of player they should be targeting.
Rodrygo a big upgrade on Chelsea’s current options
The likes of Noni Madueke and Pedro Neto are competing for minutes at Stamford Bridge, however supporters have been left wanting more from the duo in a Chelsea shirt.
Looking at the numbers from the previous campaign, the Brazil international would be a significant upgrade on those Maresca currently has to choose from.

After announcing their return back to the Champions League ahead of next season, fans want the club to make a statement signing that shows they are willing to build on their fourth placed finish.
Rodrygo would certainly fit that bill, and an opportunity could crop up for a top side to make that deal possible before September.
