Tottenham and Arsenal battle for £60m winger who won two titles with Ajax

Tottenham Hotspur could end up battling Arsenal for the signature of West Ham star Mohammed Kudus, with the Hammers now willing to sell the winger for a fee considerably lower than his release clause.

Tottenham and Arsenal are already locked in a transfer battle for Christian Norgaard, and the Gunners have reportedly moved ahead of the Lilywhites in the race for the Brentford star by submitting an opening offer.

It has now emerged that Spurs may also have to deal with competition from their fierce rivals for a Premier League attacker who Thomas Frank is a big fan of.

It was first reported by The Guardian last week that Tottenham are considering an audacious move to sign Mohammed Kudus from West Ham, but it has now emerged that Frank’s men will not have a straight run at the 24-year-old.

Tottenham and Arsenal learn Mohammed Kudus price tag

TBR Football have now said that the two North London sides could go head-to-head for the Ghana international’s signature, with both sides being fans of the player.

It is alleged that both Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal have held internal discussions over a deal for the Hammers star and are now thinking about launching an offer.

West Ham have decided to cash in on Kudus in order to give Graham Potter the funds to rebuild the squad.

MORE SPURS STORIES

While the 24-year-old’s release clause stands at over £80m, the East London club have accepted that the clause is not going to be met after the player turned down the chance to move to Saudi Arabia.

It is revealed that West Ham are now willing to accept any deal north of £60m for the former Ajax man.

Three more Premier League sides eyeing Kudus

According to TBR Football, Tottenham not only have to contend with competition from Arsenal for Kudus but also three other Premier League giants.

It is revealed that Man United and Chelsea both had offers for the winger turned down earlier this summer, with the Blues continuing to be interested in the player.

The outlet adds that Kudus is also admired at St James Park, but he is not thought to be Newcastle’s top priority at the moment.
