Junior Firpo's not so subtle biggest hint yet of Leeds United exit and next move

Junior Firpo's exit from Leeds United has been expected for a number of weeks now, with the player and the club seemingly just waiting on an announcement of his next move to officially recognise that fact. While Leeds made it clear at the end of last season they were in talks with Firpo and had offered the popular left-back a new contract, the chances of the former Barcelona man staying at Elland Road have always appeared slim.

A move back to his former club Real Betis has always been the expected next step for the left-back, and that possibility has grown even more following the latest not so subtle post in Firpo's Instagram stories. The 28-year-old defender has posted a picture of himself wearing an old Espanyol shirt of former Leeds United team-mate Marc Roca, who is now at Betis having left Leeds for them.

Accompanying the picture are three emojis of an hourglass, a green love heart and a football, with the countdown certainly on until Firpo's current deal at Leeds ends in four days' time.
