Liverpool have been one of the busiest teams in the Premier League this summer, with their squad changing the most out of any team in the division.
Of course, others such as Arsenal and Chelsea have also added some new faces to their ranks, but none have been as impressive as the Reds’ acquisition of Florian Wirtz.
Liverpool don’t often get busy in the transfer market, with their only addition last summer being Federico Chiesa for a cut-rate price.
This lack of spending has allowed the Anfield outfit to build up a decent-sized war chest that they can splurge on the players they want this summer.

The Reds are also masters at waiting for the right player to enter the frame, with Virgil van Dijk and Alisson among their best additions over the last few years.
David Ornstein praises Liverpool for the work they’ve done in the transfer market
Liverpool aren’t usually covered by many transfer journalists during windows, but when they are, it’s usually for a good reason.
Speaking on The Athletic FC’s Podcast, transfer guru David Ornstein gave his verdict on the Reds’ business and believes that some of the deals Slot has pulled off this season could have a similar impact to Van Dijk.
“Liverpool have kept their powder dry in terms of available cash to spend in recent markets,” Ornstein said.

“They took a lot of criticism and face pressure at the time last summer when Martin Zubimendi was the main target, they didn’t land him and they retained the courage of their convictions, that, unless the right player was available, they wouldn’t do anything.
“They’ve shown that in the past, like when they went for Virgil van Dijk, it didn’t happen in the summer, it then became a possibility in January, [they] executed it then and to devastating effect.
“Nobody seems to do that better than Liverpool.”
Liverpool are the favourites for the Premier League title this season
If the Anfield outfit weren’t already the favourites to win the Premier League, they certainly are now.
The next couple of seasons feel as if they’re going to be pivotal to the next generation of players representing Liverpool.
Across the board, there are players of all experience levels, with a lot of wonderkids also in the mix.
As mentioned, Liverpool signed arguably the best number 10 in world football, who’s only 22 years old, with others such as Ryan Gravenberch also being in the early stages of their career.
