Everton are one of several Premier League sides linked with a move for Timothy Weah this summer.
David Moyes returned to Everton in January and oversaw a remarkable turnaround in the Toffees’ fortunes, and that has seemingly been enough for The Freidkin Group to arm the Scotsman with a substantial transfer budget to continue to push up the table next term.
That has seen Everton earmark Weah as a potential target, with the out-of-favour Juventus man mooted as a potential option to bring more creativity to Moyes’ side.

Weah’s potential move to Nottingham Forest has stalled
Everton’s pursuit of Thierno Barry has perhaps overshadowed their interest in Weah recently.
The Toffees are confident of concluding that deal in the coming days [Santi Aouna], and they have now also been handed an update on Weah’s future that could allow TFG to push through a deal and provide Moyes with another fresh face on the flanks.
MORE TOFFEES STORIES
Weah had been seemingly in line for a move to Nottingham Forest, but that deal has now hit the rocks, according to Tutto Sport (26 June).
The Reds had agreed a double deal in principle with Juventus for the transfers of Weah and Samuel Mbangula, but the pair are now believed to have stalled on their decisions over the possibility of moving to the City Ground.
That has handed something of a lifeline to Weah’s other potential suitors, and leaves the door open for TFG to reignite their chase for the wideman and bring him to Merseyside alongside Barry.
Everton need plenty of attacking additions
The deal to sign Barry is understandably taking priority for the Toffees at present, but that shouldn’t stop them from lining up other potential additions to their attacking ranks.
They have struggled badly for reliable and consistent sources of creativity in recent seasons, so any additions in the attacking areas of the pitch would certainly be welcome.

Weah’s career stats
Weah is perhaps not the most productive winger on the market this summer in terms of goal contributions, but he could prove to be a valuable squad depth option for Moyes if TFG could push through a deal.
The 25-year-old is a versatile option who is capable of playing on either flank or as a wing-back, and has already gained plenty of experience in some of Europe’s major leagues.
Iliman Ndiaye and Dwight McNeil did an admirable job at Goodison Park last season, but Everton need more if they are going to push to the next level.
